Interesting ice cream

Ending the 4th day with pictures of an ice cream. Really interesting. It is shaped like a boat. It is vanilla ice cream with chocolate on top. When you bite it, at the bottom of the boat they put strawberry jam. Yummmm!!!

I’m afraid that it doesn’t really show in the picture… But when we saw it, the reflection on the lake was so perfect. Really like a mirror!!!

And such a beautiful scene…

We were asking for directions from these people who were dealing with their (!!!!!!) sheeeeeepppp.

We actually found, amongst them, the owner of the place we were staying. Among the humans, not sheep; just to make sure you knew!! Haha. We’ve arrived!!! Hahaha. Sungguh tak boleh blah, kan???

Which suddenly reminds me of the many tunnels that we went in and the steep slopes we went up and down. The downward drive was scary, I’m forever grateful that I didn’t drive!!! Thanks loads, Azri and K!! :D

Anyone who bothers going through the pictures I post on facebook knows that I love sheep. Ironically, I started liking them in Dublin. Can’t get less city-like than that!! A capital, for goodness sake!! Okay maybe a bigger capital, but don’t bust the ego of them Irish. They’re very proud people; or at least in my experience (imagine having your tutor just refusing to admit he was amongst the “us” when your seminar mate was talking about the British. That girl was one clueless chick. I found it hilarious). Regardless, yes… after that I went to the most… kampung place you can imagine; Durham. Maybe that was really when I started going nuts over sheep, when I was looking at my souvenirs for my friends from Ireland; I did not get them leprechaun–which would have been more unique–but sheep. Sheep!! Amni, how is Irina Friedmann? Double or single N? I can’t remember…

They just looked so cute!! And it made less sense to get them bears with shamrocks on their stomachs anyway!! Somehow I just realized, put shamrock on literally anything and it’ll be Irish (now that suddenly reminds me of a senior’s statement; put Guinness in any kind of food and it’ll be an Irish dish, even if you can’t imagine an Irish consuming it. Rendang was his choice. I thought of sambal belacan. Hahaha). Anyway, yes, sheep. I suppose the “obsession” built while I was on the train down to York, when I saw so many sheep farms!! Amagad!! And when I went to Lake District. Seriously, I never realized there were so many sheep in England!!

Imagine how wonderful it was when I woke up and realize we’re a bit lost and needed to ask for instructions. They decided to stop by at… I wouldn’t call it sheep farm though, but they did own quite a number of sheep!!! Hahaha.

I like the 6th picture best!!

But, alas… I have to

*waves tearfully*

I cried myself to sleep after that. So melodramatic. Hahaha. Nahh… I just fell asleep. Why, I’ve no idea. Guys, you were amazing la, to drive for 8 hours. I wouldn’t be able to, that’s for sure!!

I refuse to say goodbye!!

… or so I thought!!

June 18, 2008 at 2:18 am | In Road trip | Leave a Comment

Well… I didn’t take much pictures since the better view was on the other side; Nana’s. We were searching a place to pee when we stopped here:

Nana found the fact that they grew grass on the roofs fascinating!! Have you found the reason for it, Na?

Not totally, but there were a lot of ice floating on the surface!!

Nana got the better view most of the time, sitting on the left side of the car. Lucky her ;) And lucky you; if not there’ll be more pictures!! Haha
